batteryDrainTest is a utility for deliberately and measurably draining a laptop battery, built for battery health and capacity testing. It puts load on the system while monitoring the discharge in real time and logging the drain rate as the battery depletes.
To gauge a battery's true, degraded capacity, or to recalibrate it, you need a controlled discharge with good measurements, not guesswork. This tool provides exactly that: a live readout plus a CSV log you can analyze afterward, making it useful for diagnosing a suspect battery or benchmarking how long a machine really lasts.
