PayIT — Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 31, 2026 · Last updated: June 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Teedoh Labs, Inc. (“Teedoh Labs”, “PayIT”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the PayIT mobile application and related services (the “Service”). PayIT is a personal finance and bill-planning app operated by Teedoh Labs, Inc. By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information you provide when registering — such as your email and display name — and, if you use Sign in with Apple or Google, the identifier those providers share.
- Access-code delivery information you provide or authorize for beta, testing, or account access — such as an email address or phone number used to deliver PayIT access codes by email, SMS, MMS, or RCS.
- Financial information from bank or card accounts you choose to connect, obtained through our data provider Plaid Inc. (“Plaid”): account names, types, balances, and transactions. We request only the data needed to provide the Service.
- Content you create in the app, such as bills, income, and settings.
- Limited technical data needed to operate the app (e.g., device push token, app version, and error diagnostics).
2. How We Use Information
We use your information only to provide and improve the Service to you — for example to show real-time balances and “safe to spend”, categorize transactions against the bills and income you track, plan payments around your pay periods, send notifications you enable, and deliver requested PayIT access codes. We do not sell your personal information and do not use it for third-party advertising or third-party marketing.
3. Bank Connections via Plaid
When you connect a financial account, you do so through Plaid. Plaid collects your credentials directly and provides PayIT with access tokens and the account data described above; PayIT never sees your bank login credentials. Plaid's handling of your information is governed by the Plaid End User Privacy Policy. You can review and manage connections, and request deletion of data held by Plaid, at my.plaid.com.
4. How We Share Information
We share information only with service providers that help us operate the Service — currently Plaid (bank data), infrastructure/notification providers (e.g., cloud hosting and Apple Push Notification service), and access-code delivery providers (e.g., email and messaging providers such as SendGrid and Twilio) — and only as needed to provide the Service. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety. We do not sell your data, and we do not share mobile opt-in information with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.
SMS/text consent and opt-out. If you provide a mobile number for PayIT access-code delivery, you consent to receive transactional SMS/MMS/RCS messages containing your codes. These messages are not a condition of purchase and are not marketing. Message frequency is limited to the codes you request; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. See our Terms of Service for the full PayIT Access Codes messaging program terms.
5. Security
We protect your information in transit with TLS 1.2 or higher and at rest with full-volume encryption; sensitive credentials such as bank access tokens are additionally encrypted with AES-256-GCM. Access to production systems follows least-privilege principles.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account in the app, which removes your data from our production systems and disconnects linked accounts (ending the associated Plaid connections). Backups containing your data expire on a rotating schedule. See our Data Retention & Disposal practices for details, or contact us below.
7. Your Rights
You may access or delete your data, including by using in-app account deletion or by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, communicated in the app.
